Uploading this website is like lifting a weight from my shoulders.
Why did I create this website? I don't have much of a reason other than wanting to. Web design had always intrigued me as a child, but I was intimidated by coding languages. In February 2023, I ended up biting the bullet and watched this HTML/CSS course on YouTube. It helped me understand the syntax, but I still struggled with actually making a website. I found better luck by just inspecting the code of various websites and getting ideas for my own. That video did cover flexboxes, but oddly enough, it didn't click for me until I read this tutorial on them and from there, I finally started making a few shitty layouts which will never see the light of day.
I have a big problem with only getting into hobbies for a month at a time. I don't understand fully why I'm like this and it bothers me greatly, but that is the reason I have put off actually creating and publishing a website for years. Not to mention my personal tastes in aesthetics changing often, and every time I would take a break from working on a site and come back to it later, I found myself hating it and just redid the entire thing from the ground up. I am finally forcing myself to get over those tendencies and just make the damn site already.
To give a better answer to the original question: I want a place to log various things like personal reviews and writings, along with having a place where I can be myself without a mask/filter, and coding is a hobby I've been enjoying and would like to continue and get better at. New year, new me, right? This website is the first step in changing things in my life.
